Description
Sucralose
Sucralose is a high-purity, non-caloric sweetening agent used in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and oral care formulations to improve palatability without contributing to blood glucose levels or caloric load. Approximately 600 times sweeter than Sucrose, Sucralose delivers clean, heat-stable sweetness and excellent chemical stability, making it ideal for both solid and liquid dosage forms. Sucralose is
- A high-intensity, non-nutritive sweetener for oral and ingestible products
- Approximately 600× sweeter than Sucrose with no glycemic impact
- Chemically stable across a broad pH and temperature range
- Suitable for tablets, syrups, suspensions, powders, lozenges, and chewables
Sucralose is a chlorinated disaccharide synthesized from Sucrose, in which three hydroxyl groups are replaced by chlorine atoms. It is non-metabolizable and non-cariogenic, making it ideal for pediatric, diabetic, and oral health formulations. Its excellent water solubility and low usage levels support efficient inclusion in low-volume formulations.
In pharmaceutical and nutraceutical applications, Sucralose is used in:
- Oral liquid formulations, including syrups, drops, and suspensions
- Chewable and dispersible tablets to enhance taste without added sugar
- Powdered blends, sachets, and stick packs for fast-dissolve or reconstitution
- Oral care products, including mouthwashes and medicated lozenges
- Pediatric and geriatric dosage forms where taste masking is critical to compliance
Sucralose is chemically inert in combination with APIs, vitamins, and minerals, offering excellent formulation versatility. It retains sweetness through high-temperature processing, such as spray-drying and granulation, and it does not promote microbial growth.
CarboMer supplies Sucralose in fine powder form, with particle size and flow characteristics optimized for blending, tableting, or solution preparation. It is produced to food-grade and pharmaceutical standards and may be labeled under FCC, NF, or EU specifications depending on regional requirements.
The material is packaged in sealed, food-grade and pharma-compliant containers. Multiple pack sizes are available for R&D, pilot, and commercial-scale manufacturing. Minimum order quantities (MOQ), lead times, and CoA documentation are available upon request.
Each batch is tested for identity, assay, residual solvents, pH, heavy metals, microbial purity, and compliance with applicable pharmacopoeial or food additive standards. Sucralose is Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) and widely approved for use in pharmaceutical and dietary applications worldwide.
As with all CarboMer excipients, Sucralose is supported by technical formulation guidance, regulatory documentation, and global sourcing reliability helping you deliver better-tasting, patient-compliant dosage forms.
