Description
Polyoxyl 35
Polyoxyl 35 is a high-purity, nonionic surfactant and solubilizing polymer used in pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and biopharmaceutical formulations. It provides excellent emulsification, solubilization, and wetting properties, enabling the formulation of hydrophobic active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) in aqueous systems. Polyoxyl 35 is widely used for oral, topical, and parenteral applications requiring enhanced solubility and stability. Polyoxyl 35
- Is a nonionic, water-soluble surfactant for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical use
- Is used as a solubilizer, emulsifier, and stabilizer in oral, topical, and injectable formulations
- Enhances bioavailability of poorly soluble active pharmaceutical ingredients
- Is compatible with a wide range of excipients and formulation systems
- Is manufactured under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) conditions
- Is supplied with complete regulatory documentation including Certificate of Analysis (CoA) and technical data
Polyoxyl 35 is derived from the ethoxylation of fatty alcohols, producing a hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB) suitable for stable emulsions and solubilized solutions. It forms clear, low-viscosity solutions and maintains stability across varying pH and temperature conditions.
In pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical applications, Polyoxyl 35 is used in:
- Oral and parenteral formulations for solubilization of lipophilic drugs
- Topical creams, gels, and emulsions for enhanced penetration and stability
- Ophthalmic and nasal sprays requiring low-irritation surfactants
- Drug delivery systems such as microemulsions, nanosuspensions, and liposomes
- Stabilization of active ingredients during formulation, storage, and administration
Polyoxyl 35 is known for its low toxicity, high biocompatibility, and minimal immunogenicity. It supports consistent drug delivery and improves the performance of hydrophobic APIs without interfering with pharmacokinetics.
CarboMer supplies Polyoxyl 35 with validated control over ethoxylation degree, viscosity, residual solvents, and microbial content. Material is suitable for research, pilot, and commercial-scale applications.
The material is packaged in sealed, tamper-evident, moisture-resistant containers. Minimum order quantities (MOQ), lead times, and documentation, including CoA and SDS, are provided upon request.
Each batch is tested for identity (IR, NMR), ethoxylation degree, HLB value, viscosity, residual solvents, and microbial purity. Certificates of Analysis (CoA), Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and full traceability documentation accompany every shipment.
As with all CarboMer surfactants and excipients, Polyoxyl 35 is supported by formulation expertise, regulatory guidance, and reliable global supply to help develop safe, effective, and high-performance pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and cosmetic products.
